Recipes..CHEESY LASAGNA CASSEROLE yummy

Ingredients
1 small onion, finely diced

1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 jar (24 oz) spaghetti sauce
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
2-3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
6-8 slices provolone cheese
1 box (16 oz) medium pasta shells, cooked and drained
Instructions
Heat oven to 325 degrees. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside.
In a large skillet pan, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until beef is no longer pink. Drain and return to skillet. Add the basil, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and jar of spaghetti sauce. Mix together and bring to a low boil, reduce heat to medium low and let simmer for about 10-15 minutes while the pasta cooks.
Cook pasta according to package directions. Don't forget to salt the water.
In a large mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, lightly beaten eggs, parmesan cheese, parsley flakes, and 2 cups of the mozzarella cheese. Stir together.
When pasta is done, drain it and immediately add to the bowl of cheese mixture. Stir to make sure the noodles are coated. Pour into your prepared baking dish and evenly spread it out.
Dump the meat mixture on top of the noodles and spread it out evenly. Top with the slices of provolone cheese.
Cover with tin foil (spray the side of tin foil that touches the food with cooking spray to prevent sticking). Cook for 45 minutes.
Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup mozzarella cheese and bake, uncovered for 10 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
