INGREDIENTS
60g butter, at room temperature
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla powder
� tsp salt
1 egg, at room temperature
1 tsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp red food dye
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup all purpose flour
� cup lukewarm milk
2 tbsp lemon juice
Frosting:
1 cup cold milk
2 packages whipping cream powder
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix whipping cream powder and cold milk until fluffy and chill it at least for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven at 180C.
Mix lukewarm milk with lemon juice and wait aside for 20 minutes so that it becomes your homemade buttermilk.
Beat the butter, sugar, salt and vanila powder with an electric mixer for 3-4 minutes.
Add the egg and continue mixing until well incorporated.
In a separate bowl, mix cocoa powder and red food dye with a fork.
Add 1 tbsp buttermilk into this mixture and mix with a fork until creamy.
Add it into butter-sugar mixture and mix with a spatula until combined.
Sift flour and baking soda in a seperate bowl and add � of it into the batter. Mix well with the spatula.
Pour buttermilk and mix well.
Add the rest of the flour and mix until combined.
Share the batter into paper liners filling � of them and bak efor 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let them cool and top with whipped cream.
Decorate the cupcakes as desired before serving.
